After 108 years, lovable losers no more. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Sleep well tonight, Grandma.

Well done Brian
Even though I know absolutely nothing about baseball I was rooting for the Cubs.
Hell, I even signed an on- line petition calling for Mavis Staples to sing the Star Spangled Banner!

Well done the Cubs. It's been a long time coming. If you are half as happy as my mate the hibbie was when his team won the Scottish Cup earlier this year after over 100 years you will be on cloud nine for some time.

That Cubs logo is lovely and good enough for me to want to root for them even if I haven't a clue what anything is about when it comes to any sport. I just like nice pictures ;-)
Congrats the Cubs!

You couldn't have scripted that game 7 if you had tried! The Cubs let the moment get to them a few times over the course of those 7 games, but in the end, heart and determination really ruled the day! Harry Caray was most certainly yelling Cubs Win! Cubs Win! in that announcers box in the sky...

Thanks everyone. It's a strange feeling to get exactly what you asked for. I have watched the playoffs every year forever, but I have never been so invested for such a long period of time. For one month and 17 games everything else just sort of stopped. It must be exhausting to be a fan of the Cardinals or Yankees. I had no idea. I thought about Harry, Jack Brickhouse and so many heroes from yesteryear that never had this moment. Bittersweet. My uncle just sent me a photo of my grandma with her Cubs gear on, and I had a good cry.
